Great Britain: Brigg Gas Company, £25 shares, 18[50], #53, black printing on fine waxed, vellum like, paper. Formed by Deed of Settlement in 1836 to supply this Lincolnshire town with gas. Works were moved in 1850 probably the reason why these new shares were issued. Registered as a Limited Liability company in 1873. Acquired by Brigg Urban District Council in 1899 and eventually nationalised in 1949. EF and scarce.
