Great Britain: New Schultze Gunpowder Company Ltd., £5 preference shares, 189[8], #473, hand and lightening bolt at top, blue, printed by Waterlow Bros & Layton. Registered to take over existing business with large factory in the New Forest. It became the largest local employer and supplied 75% of the worlds' sporting gunpowder. Captain Schultze, a Prussian artillery captain, has been credited with being the first to make smokeless gunpowder. Couple of spike holes, F-VF.
