Imperforate
1/- rose-pink and blue Die 1, an almost complete reconstruction (5x5) with Sub-type 3 overprints (missing [13-14], much above average quality and mostly free of faults, except several are touched or just cut into, also two additional, [20] being the late damaged state and its substitution. S.G. 34, £5,000+

Note: For the third printing, the Die 1 and Die 2 plates were used together, with a new overprint forme of 100 which finished the sheet in one operation. The four blocks of 25 comprising the overprint plate are termed Types 2A and 2B (on Die 1) and Types 2C and 2D (on Die 2). Since no multiples are known from this printing, it is not possible to advance the plating of the groups far, and the overprints have been arbitrarily divided into groups of 25, termed Sub-types 3 and 4 for those on Die 1 stamps. This lot represents a unique assembly of plated material from this scarce printing.
