1853 (31 May) entire letter headed "Palmyra" and with contemporary ink framing, to Georgetown, bearing 1852 (Jan.) 4c. black on deep blue with good to very large margins, neatly cancelled and tied by "demerara" double-arc datestamp for 3 June and with a further strike of the double-arc datestamp on reverse; the adhesive with surface rubbing as usual and the entire letter with central vertical fold and spike hole, nevertheless an attractive example of this rare stamp on cover.
