Pierre Samual du Pont (1870 - 1954), entrepreneur, businessman and philanthropist. President of E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Co., 1915-1919 and a director until 1940. Managed General Motors, 1915 to 1920, then becoming president and serving as a director until 1928. General Motors was at that time the largest company in the world. GVF.
