Deceased Soldier's Parcel: 1968 (29 Oct.) parcel receipt for mailing the belongings of a deceased soldier from Nylam. Mailed from Shigatse, an 8.5kg parcel sent to his home in Huaxian, Shansi, c/o the local veteran office. The accompanying archival report indicated that this soldier died on 13th September while constructing a road in Nylam. At this time China was constructing a road to Nepal via Khasa-Kadori (Zhangmu) in the immediate aftermath of the Sino-India border war of 1962
