1912 an official cover from Chengtu to the Tibetan town of Songpan and bears a part strike of the Chengtu Official Mail cachet of the Tibetan Expeditionary Force struck in red. This is the earliest recorded cover bearing this cachet. The outer covering of this cover has suffered over the years, nevertheless a very important and rare cover. Photo
