1928 (30 Jan.) a turned window envelope air mail to Gosport, England "From Basra to Cairo via Karachi" bearing India K.G.V 3p. (4), ½a. and 1½a. tied by good strikes of the type B3 c.d.s. The envelope has paper applique of a Union Jack with white on blue Air Mail etiquette and home-made label for the route instructions, the reverse with Karachi (6.2) and Basrah (17.2) c.d.s. The original envelope with G.B. K.G.V ½d. (4) tied by Portsmouth 1927 (27 Nov.) postmark. There is some soiling which is to be expected from this twice-used envelope, an interesting cover with a lot of character. Photo
