1915 (12 Jan.) telegram from the Chinese Amban to Lhasa to the Ministry of Finance in Peking. The message reads, "Ministry of Finance, Peking, trust you have received the 4th January telegram. Kindly remit money expediently for office use. Lu Hingki, 11th". There is a small amount of water staining, otherwise in a good state of repair

In 1913 the Chinese appointed Lu Hingki, a merchant in Calcutta, to be the Amban. However, he was obstructed by the Indian Government and never set foot in Tibet
