1878 and 1881 envelopes ex the Sir William Grey correspondence sent by diplomatic bag, the first a mourning type (no flap) from Guildford through the Colonial Office at Downing Street endorsed "to be forwarded" and bearing 1d. red cancelled "325", the second with Government House, British Honduras imprint on flap to his mother and bearing 1d. red cancelled by London S.P.P. "w c/4" duplex. An attractive pair of covers from this unusual correspondence

Note: William Grey Wilson (1852-1926) was Assistant Colonial Secretary in Belize, a career diplomat later knighted in 1904. He also served in Jamaica, Sierra Leone. St. Helena, the Falkland Islands and the Bahamas, the last three as Governor
