1875 6 Jan.) entire from Guatemala on post office business "Via Belize" to Paris, rated "4" showing large triple-ring "admon gral de correos/guatemala" handstamp with a small quetzel and banner at centre inscribed "libertad/15/de/setiembre/1824", superb "correos de guatemala/paquettes" despatch datestamp in red, very rare "belize/paid " bridge-type PD5 datestamp (15.1, 10 months earlier than recorded) and similar style London Paid (13.2) datestamp, all in red, oval-framed "pd" and Calais entry datestamp (14.2), all on face, two further French datestamps on reverse. Highly attractive and an almost certainly unique cover of exhibition quality. Photo
