New Zealand 1845-66, undated reverse (309 Pte. J. Giltinane 65th Foot), very fine

James Giltinane was born at Limerick, Ireland and enlisted in the 65th Foot at Liverpool in 1859. He served in New Zealand for 5 years 3 months and the East Indies for 9 years 11 months and was discharged on 8 January 1881. He was tried by Court Martial on four occasions and his name was found in the Defaulters Book on no less than 40 occasions; sold with copied service record.
