Charles Connor was born at Enniskillen on 28 August 1909 and enlisted on 16 November 1927 and trained at 2 Apprentice Wing, Halton and the Electrical and Wireless School. He flew as a 'back seater' with Squadron Leader V. H. Clift with No. 55 during the Northern Kurdistan operations. Commissioned Pilot Officer in the Technical Branch (Signals) in November 1941 and was advanced Flying Officer in March 1944, adding a 'mention' for his service (London Gazette 1 January 1946, refers). Advanced Flight Lieutenant on 14 April 1947, he served in Borneo and retired on 7 August 1963; sold with copied service record.
