L. Denner served in France with the 1st Battalion, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry from 4 December 1914, and was admitted to a Casualty Clearing Station on 5 June 1915, suffering from bayonet wound to the right shoulder. He later he saw service as a Private (No.24120) with the Royal Dublin Fusiliers; sold with copied MIC.
