A Great War O.B.E. group of three awarded to Captain J. M. Pritchard, Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment, a First Class Cricketer

O.B.E. London Gazette 3 June 1919 (Mesopotamia).

Jack Mervyn Pritchard was he was born at Madras on 19 May 1895. Educated at Charterhouse School, he was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant with the Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment in April 1916. He served in Mesopotamia with the 1/5th Battalion from 5 December 1917 and claimed his Medals in September 1921.

Pritchard went up to Brasenose College and played two games of first-class cricket for Oxford University in 1919, against the Free Foresters and Sussex. He died in Kensington on 17 November 1936.
