Two albums/scrapbooks 'Campaign in the Cameroons August 1914 - April 1916'.

Measuring 430mm x 320mm (Vol. 1) and 350mm x 260mm (Vol. 2), bound in light brown pigskin with the above title, plus volume number, on the covers. Volume 1 comprising 30 pages, Volume 2 unpaginated.

The pages of Volume 1 mounting photographs, letters of instruction and appointment, telegrams, correspondence in French and English and newspaper cuttings concerning the campaign and Dobell's role in it as Allied commander-in-chief. Volume 2 is without pages but contains sewn-in documents including rolls of officers, details of naval forces, the text of the Anglo-French agreement for the post-campaign division of the former German territory and post-campaign publications, official and otherwise, together with some loose correspondence,

Very good condition and a unique account of the campaign - from its Commander.
