1795 (5 Mar.) lengthy entire letter from Langford Lovell to Christopher Codrington in London, rated "1/-" and showing fair to fine "antigua" handstamp (Proud Type PS 12) with arrival datestamp (1.6) on reverse. The writer mentions that the French have reinforced Guadeloupe, every person capable of bearing arms is obliged to attend military duty, and the King of the Charibs and his son were killed in St. Vincent.
