1780 (18 Mar.) entire letter from Langford Lovell to Sir William Codrington in London, marked "p the packet", rated "2/-" and showing, on reverse, "9/ma" Bishopmark. The writer mentions the French from the inactivity of Admiral Parker have got into Martinique a considerable reinforcement of men of war and troops, and an expedition undertaken by General Vaughan has been frustrated by the aforesaid arrival. The troops have been returned to this island and St. Kitts
