1843 (20 Sept.) entire missionary letter from Kumasi to London rated "8" and bearing on the flap straight-line "ship-letter" and London arrival (18.12). The long letter indicates that his journey from Cape Coast to Kumasi took less than two weeks and that "... the King gave us a public reception of the most splendid character ... all the chieftains of his extensive dominions were present." He goes on to explain how they hope to build a place of worship. Usual filing fold, a good letter from the interior. Photo
