1873 (6 July) double rate envelope from Charlotte Town to Boston, bearing 12c. reddish mauve tied by five-pointed Star cancellation (P130) and showing despatch datestamp alongside; envelope (front and back separated) and adhesive with defects though few, if any, of this denomination have been recorded paying a contemporary rate with this example used immediately post Confederation.
