1873 (Apr.) envelope from Hope River to Minnesota and redirected to Chicago and again locally, bearing 6c. black with four-ring target cancellation (P121), showing despatch datestamp towards right followed by framed US "forwarded" handstamp, Charlotte Town and other transit datestamps on reverse; envelope with small imperfections though extremely rare, believed to be the sole example of this P.E.I. datestamp which is listed in the Lehr handbook though with no usage recorded.
