1872 (8 Jan.) envelope from Charlotte Town to Edinburgh carried on the Allen Line vessel Hibernian, bearing 1870 4½d. yellow-brown nicely centred and neatly cancelled by despatch datestamp (P80) with a further strike at left and with Paid Liverpool Br. Packet datestamp (2.2) in red below, arrival datestamp (3.2) on reverse; tear on flap onto face panel though a most attractive and rare example of this stamp used alone.
