1871 (9 Apr.) envelope from Charlotte Town to Dublin, bearing perf. 11½-12 2d. rose (3, one bisected diagonally) and tied by obliterators, despatch datestamp at lower left corner and arrival datestamp (30.4) on reverse. A very rare franking. B.P.A. Certificate (1981) states "the front of the cover has been mutilated" which we consider harsh, and one whole stamp defective. S.G. 12b, £3,750. Photo
