Department of State envelope (260x115mm.) from Washington DC to Baghdad, franked at 70c. and flown by Clipper to Hong Kong and then forwarded to Singapore where "d" and "32" sorting marks were applied, Hong Kong and arrival datestamps on reverse; 1941 (17 Jan.) envelope (235x105mm.) from New York to Bangkok, franked at 70c. and flown by PAA Clipper to Hong Kong where "air transit/2" applied and censored, then forwarded to Singapore where censored and "b" and "30" sorting marks where added, and finally by BOAC to Bangkok; and 1941 (21 Jan.) envelope from Seattle to Beirut, franked at 36c. but "Returned for 98 cents Additional Postage", flown by PAA to Hong Kong where censored and circular-framed "a,v. 2" applied, then surface to Singapore where "d" and "31" sorting marks added, then by BOAC to Baghdad; the two long covers with faults at right An interesting trio of covers from the USA
