The Brisbane - Singapore section of the Australia - England route was inaugurated on 10 December, with Qantas operating the Brisbane - Darwin section, and Imperial, under contract to Qantas, the Darwin - Singapore section. The mail left Darwin on 13 December and arrived in Singapore on the 15th.
1930 (20 Oct.) Straits Settlements 6c. stationery envelope registered from Singapore to Sydney, marked "10grms", uprated 58c., showing "by air mail" etiquette with arrival datestamp (20.10) on reverse. A scarce usage of the envelope. Photo
