1935 Singapore - Hong Kong Survey Flight
Two Singapore III Flying-boats of No. 205 Squadron, commanded by Wing-Commander C. L. Scott, made a nine days' cruise to Hong Kong and back in June, to test new aircraft and explore the possibility of commercial flight between the two cities. They returned to Singapore by way of Manila and Labuan.

1935 (29 June) partly printed envelope addressed to Holland and flown from Manila to Singapore, franked at 68c. and showing framed "via flying boat/of the/british royal air corps/June 29, 1935" handstamp in violet with, on reverse, Gravenhage arrival datestamp. Photo
