1872 (25 Apr.) double weight entire from De Beers to Sir Henry Barkly, Governor of West Griqualand at Cape Town, bearing 4d. blue cancelled with signature and by double-arc datestamp, rated "8" (postage due) with Cape Town arrival datestamp (2.5) alongside; small piece torn away at top centre, otherwise sound and a rare very early item from this Post Office which only opened in March 1872.
