Office of the Commandant General of Colonial Forces OHMS envelope (flap missing and traces of foxing) from General Gordon at Dordrect to Magistrate A Garcia at King William's Town, signed "C.G. Gordon" above the imprint and with despatch and arrival datestamps on reverse, and 1884 (Jan.) envelope from Gordon when back in England to the same addressee in Cape Town, bearing 1d. and 2½d. pair cancelled by Southampton H.P.O. "723" duplex , posted the day after he arrived from Brussels when he was staying with his sister
