1895 (30 May) envelope to England, marked "letter dated 30/5 1895" and bearing 1895 (Jan.) 4d. black on white laid paper tied by "british/mail/antananarivo" datestamp in violet (12.6) paying the inland postage, in combination with Natal 2½d. blue (affixed partially over top edge) cancelled by Durban datestamp (30.7) and paying the external postage, arrival datestamps (26.8) on reverse; minor imperfections though a rare combination franking.
