Henry III (1216-1272), ‘Long Cross’ Coinage, Penny, London, Phase 1, 1247 Pre-Provincial Phase, Class 1a, 1.48g, obv. i.m.1, henricvs rex around inner circle, crowned facing bust with beard within, rev. ang lie ter ci’ around inner circle, voided long cross to edge, three pellets around a central point in each angle (N.983;S.1358; Stewartby Ia), slightly weak in the ‘ANG’ angle and correspondingly on the obverse, otherwise nearly very fine and very rare
