Celtic, Gallo-Belgic, imported coinage, (c.60-20 BC), gold Stater, 6.15g, 'Gallic War Uniface' type, blank but undulating around 25% of periphery, rev. horse right, abstract rider above, groundline and band of torcs? below, eye? before and behind, other dispersed symbols (ABC 16; Scheers p.336, Class II. Pl. VI, 153, Gallo-Belgic 'E'; VA 54-1; S.11), some scrapes to obverse, much of reverse symbolism visible and with good surfaces, nearly extremely fine, this a prolific issue
