King Charles II
1667 (20 May) a Grant of Arms issued by Sir Edward Walker, Garter King of Arms to John Wadman of Brooke, Wiltshire, an attorney in the Court of Common Pleas. An English illuminated manuscript with three-sided foliated border and large foliate initial, granting his "Coate of Armes" which includes three roses argent. The Coat of Arms has been stitched onto the manuscript (some threads are broken) and with broken seal of Sir Edward Walker in tin skippet. Signed "Edw Walker, Garter" at foot. Some staining in the upper right corner, folded with some resultant soiling. Photo

Sir Edward Walker (1611-77). He followed Charles II into exile and was with him constantly, not only as his Garter King of Arms but as Clerk of his Privy Council and after the King’s return from exile in 1660
