A highly attractive and valuable mint collection in stockbooks from 1840 1d. with small to large margins (without gum), 1841 1d. (3) and 2d. (2), one with good to large margins all round, a few later Line Engraved; a good selection of Surface Printed with 1855-57 4d. (2), 1862-64 3d. (2) and 6d., 1865-67 4d. (2), 1867-80 3d. (2), 6d. and 2/- blue (reperforated wing margin), 1873-80 values to 1/- green (3) including 4d. vermilion and 4d. sage-green, 1880-83 values to 6d., 1880-81 5d., 1883-84 Lilac and Green values to 1/- (9d. overprinted "specimen"), 1883-84 2/6d. (2), 5/- (2) one supposedly on blued paper, and 10/-, 1887-1900 Jubilee sets to both 1/- (2), 4½d. pane of twenty (pane A) showing damage to inner frame line, and other values to £1 green and some Officials. K.G.VI with duplicated high values with Postage Dues including the set overprinted "specimen", an extensive selection of Q.E. to 1986 with Wildings including phosphor-graphite, some of the early phosphor commemoratives, £1 Castles block of twenty, decimal Machins with 3½p. pair imperforate, 12½d. imperforate pair, 16p imperforate pair (3), commemoratives with varieties including1969 Ships 5d. missing grey, Christmas 5d. missing light blue, 1970 Literary Anniversaries 1-6d. missing silver, 1982 I.T. 15½p. imperforate pair. Collection of Channel Islands from the war time issues and a few others. Condition of the gum on the Surface Printed is typically very mixed but the later issues are generally fine, lightly mounted or unmounted mint. A very desirable lot which is well worth inspection
