The "Tick Bird" Flaw, Covers
1940 (4 May) envelope from Broken Hill to Rhodesian Railways at Beira, Portuguese East Africa and with censor label at left, bearing 1½d. carmine-red with clear double-ring datestamp, upon arrival redirected to Johannesburg and franked with 40c. and 60c. pair cancelled by 11 May hexagonal datestamps, the reverse with Beira arrival c.d.s. (10.5). A great rarity on cover with only three examples believed recorded. Photo
