Germany and related areas largely mint collection, contained in a single volume in mounts, this collection is very broad in its scope containing better sets and singles from Germany, Berlin and numerous related areas, there is a very modest amount of German States with a very few used present, this is about the only used in the collection though he tried to collect some used inflation period, the early German Empire is quite comprehensive with the Shield issues virtually complete unused or mint, better turn-of-the-century sets including mark values, numerous pre-war and post war sets incl. semi-postals, we note a mint OSTROPA souvenir sheet, a Post Horn set and many others, Zeppelins are nearly cplt., Berlin has many better early sets, other areas include German Colonies with better mark values, Plebiscite territories including better sets of Saar, German Democratic Republic incl. better early sets, etc., condition varies with some faults in the 19th century and early 20th century, some early issues are unused but the vast majority have o.g. with n.h. starting in the post-war period with some surprises earlier, overall fine-very fine; a valuable collection that requires examination to be appreciated.
