1900 (Nov.) envelope (a few fox marks) from P.G.A. Webster of "I" Company at Silverton, Transvaal to Toronto, bearing G.B. 1d. lilac with small part Army P.O. c.d.s. in blue and with oval-framed "canadian contingent/south africa" datestamp (7.11) in violet alongside, arrival c.d.s. (8.12) on reverse; an unusual item from a member of "I" Company which was formed from men of "C" to "H" Companies who elected to stay in South Africa. Photo
