1865 (28 Nov.) envelope registered from Charlotte Town to New Glasgow, bearing 1862 (Nov.) yellowish toned paper, perf. 11½-12 3d. blue paying the single letter rate to Nova Scotia and 6d. yellow-green paying the registration fee, both clearly tied by barred numeral "13", showing curved unframed "registered" h.s. in red (Type P100) and, on reverse, Type P5, Pictou (30.11) and arrival (1.12) datestamps. A rare and attractive franking and a choice showpiece. Very few examples of the handstamp are recorded. Photo
