1895 (15 June) large Royal Niger Company envelope piece (160x102mm.) to London, bearing 1883-84 2/6d. dull lilac and 1887-92 2½d. purple on blue, 5d. dull purple and blue and 10d. dull purple and carmine (2), twice cancelled with fair to fine strikes of the datestamp and with Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. in black at left with a further weak strike also cancelling the 2½d. and 5d. values; traces of foxing on a couple of values. A rare and colourful franking. S.G. Z20, 22, 25, 26. Photo
