1850 (17 June) envelope from Hamilton by "English Mail Via Halifax or Liverpool" to Edinburgh, rated "1/-" and showing a fine strike of the Crowned Circle "paid/at/hamilton. bermuda" handstamp in deep red, London Paid c.d.s. (1.7) at right, the reverse with superb "hamilton/bermuda" (PM4) c.d.s. and arrival c.d.s. (2.7) c.d.s.; light horizontal fold clear of both Bermuda markings. Most attractive. S.G. CC3, £4,000.
