China, Xikang Provincial Bank, one Rupee, 28th year of the Republic (1939), serial number A oo0000 printed in black on obverse and in red on reverse, the obverse features the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibetan inscription on reverse is like on the half rupee note, except the second line of text (and the inscription in the upper left and lower right corners) which reads sgor mo gcig ("one Rupee"), specimen, (Pick S1740 for type), uncirculated and very rare.
