1890 (15 June) letter sheet from Arthur Puzey, written in Bechuanaland with the Pioneer Column on its way to Mashonaland, to his mother in East London, bearing Bechuanaland Protectorate 1889 4d. on ½d. (S.G. 53) tied by Shoshong c.d.s. (20.6) and with Mafeking c.d.s. (25.6) alongside, part arrival c.d.s. on reverse; the contents (transcript provided) includes "The River Macloutsie runs about ¼ mile away and we have very decent fishing" and comments on Gen.
