1849-C 5 Dollars. AU. Like most every example from this southern mint, examples in AU and above are highly desirable and infrequently encountered. The peripheral devices on this example are well defined, while typical softness is encountered in the centers. A vibrant pumpkin patina had settled around much of the design, enhancing the appeal.
