Great Britain Postal History The following thirty-five lots comprise a recently discovered group of letters of complaint addressed to the Post Office. Unless otherwise specified they are the contents only 1848 (28 Apr.) from Admiral Sir Thomas Byam Martin (1773-1854), Admiral of the Fleet, 1849; M.P. Plymouth, (1818-31), to Colonel William Maberley, mentioning that postmasters at different offices do not know the rate to be charged for newspapers addressed to Chile, endorsed "Answer that a postage of 4d. is chargeable on each newspaper forwarded by West India packet to Valparaiso or any other place in Chili (sic) Estimate £ 150-200
