Victoria Travelling Post Offices The Stawell Line Using Numbers 7 and 11 T.P.O. No. 7 1881 (19 Dec.) 1d. lilac card from Melbourne to Hawell cancelled by "victoria" duplex with fine "down train/m.g.7" small octagon d.s. at lower left corner with a further fine strike and arrival c.d.s. (20.12) on reverse; small imperfections though the earliest of the only two recorded examples of this datestamp. Also 1d. orange card from Elmhurst to Melbourne cancelled with fine "up train/m.g.7" small c.d.s. with another strike below.
