Naval General Service 1793-1840, one clasp, Gluckstadt 5 Jany 1814 (Thos. Stonnell.), very fine Estimate £ 2,800-3,200 Thomas Stonnell served as Landsman in H.M.S. Desiree (Captain A. Farquhar) when assistance was given to a division of the army under the Crown Prince of Sweden by a squadron of British ships under Farquhar at the capture of the fortress of Gluckstadt, near the mouth of the Elbe, 5.1.1814.
