Sarawak 1899 (June) "4/cents." on 8c. bright blue on blue, neatly tied by light Sarawak c.d.s. on 1899 (25 Aug.) envelope from the Archbishop of Sarawak (crest on flap) to The Victorian Institute, London; the envelope with the odd minor tone spot. A very rare stamp on cover. S.G. 35 Estimate £ 2,500-3,000 Note: The 4 Cents on 8 Cents Provisional was introduced on 29 June 1899, and had a limited life of just over four months, the definitive 4 Cents stamp being issued on 10 November.
