Sarawak 1895 (14 Mar.) envelope to the Managing Director of Perkins, Bacon Ltd, London, bearing 1895 (Feb.) 2c. brown-red tied by violet Sarawak "Eccentric" c.d.s., in combination with Straits Settlements 1882 8c. orange clearly tied by Singapore c.d.s. (18.3) and showing, on reverse, another strike of Singapore c.d.s. and red London arrival (15.4) datestamp. A fine, rare and striking franking Estimate £ 4,000-5,000 Note:This envelope is addressed to James D. Heath, Managing Director of Perkins, Bacon & Co. and was from Charles S. Pearse, Treasurer of Sarawak. It was part of an ongoing correspondence concerning the mistaken order for the 1895 Issue.
