Gibraltar 1886 (26 Nov.) envelope (213x92mm.), complete with letter, registered to Boston, U.S.A., bearing 1/2d. dull green, 1d. rose-red pair and 2d. purple-brown in combination with 1886 (Nov.) 2 1/2d. blue, all cancelled with Registered oval d.s. and showing a further strike at left and two different London Registered oval d.s. (1.12 and 2.12) in red, the reverse with New York (12.12) and Boston (18.12) d.s.; the letter being a reply from the Post Office to a letter requesting the purchase of stamps, etc., for which a gold dollar had been sent in payment.
