Field Officer´s Small Army Gold Medal for Nive (Captn. C. Mosse, Rl. Horse. Arty.), glazed in lunettes, with gold riband buckle, nearly extremely fine Estimate £ 7,000-9,000 Major Charles Mosse (1785-1831), second son of Captain James Robert Mosse, R.N. who was killed at the Battle of Copenhagen, 2.4.1801, whilst in command of H.M.S. Monarch; served in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and Commanded a Brigade at the passage of the Nive, 9th-13th December 1813; advanced Major 1825; appointed Deputy Judge Advocate, HQ Woolwich, 1828.
