BulgariaLater Issues1927, 1l. on 6l. blue and pale yellow-olive, inverted surcharge, an extraordinary block of four, together with 1926 50st. strip of four, on 11 November 1927 cover from Ruse to Sofia, tied by bilingual "I. Post. Aér. Rousse" c.d.s., properly paying the 4 leva airmail fee and the 2 leva domestic single postage. Cover with horizontal crease at base of absolutely no significance and mentioned for correctness. The great gem of airmail Bulgarian stamps, being one of just two covers recorded exhibiting the "inverted surcharge" variety in block of four. A world and sought-after rarity of airmail philately.
